If I were a foreign tourist, I would be most excited to see as many waterfalls in Iceland as possible. And even though I am Icelandic, I am always very excited to see the waterfalls and I can watch the same waterfalls again and again and never get bored of them. There is something magical about standing near a powerful waterfall and seeing and feeling the power, the water spray and seeing a rainbow form in the sunlight.
Dynjandi waterfall in Arnarfjordur is my favorite. I am a huge fan of Gullfoss and Godafoss. Dettifoss is powerful but dirty, so it does not fascinate me as much as the others, but it is always entertaining to see. Then there are the small, incredibly beautiful waterfalls that can be found in many mountain streams. In the Westfjords, for example, there is increased power in many mountain streams in the spring, which transform into powerful waterfalls when the water flows down and hits the steep cliffs.
