There are tens of thousands of visitors that visit the Westfjords of Iceland via cruise ships. Sometimes the streets of the small town of Isafjordur is filled with tourists.

We have often wondered what our town might look like in the eyes of these tourists. What it is they enjoy and experience while walking around our beautiful town.

We stumbled recently upon this video that was taken on a visit to Isafjordur Town in 2017 by cruise ship passenger. It was interesting to see him experience the shore with the black sand and sanded rocks. We feel it is  one of the most enjoyable things we can do to walk along that shore and listen to the waves and hear the rocks hitting each other as they reach the shore.

Maybe the tourists enjoy the same things as we do and perhaps the things we, the inhabitants, take for granted in everyday life.
