When a snow storm has ruled for many days, the things that one takes for granted become especially important.
Looking back into the clear sky between the clouds and watching the sun’s paintings again is one of those things. In the autumn there was a long time with calm and sunny days. Then came the harsh winter of December with great force that became even more intense in early January.
When the snow storm subsided this vision appeared in the afternoon. The sun paints the sky with its unique pink winter color and gradually the calmness lays over the entire environment. The avalanche barriers in the Westfjords worked and everyone is alive.
On this afternoon, gratitude was at the top of my mind and the admiration of nature more powerful than any human power.
