Fog, Stillness And All The Shades Of Gray

It is sometimes easier to take pictures in sunshine than when it is foggy and gray like it was that day. However, foggy and gray days have their charm.

When it is foggy in the Westfjords it comes with the soft stillness of the sea that makes it so charming and peaceful.

The landscape changes when the mountains, hills and villages disappear in the fog. A house on the shore, a glimpse of a village and an old harbour becomes more picturesque than before.

When the wind moves the fog away, but not the rain, the landscape appears in its roughest form. In the springtime you also experience the melting snow that converts small rivers and creeks into a sight to see.

Driving from Reykjavik to Isafjordur is not boring in the fog and the rain if you like the charm and all the shades of gray that comes with it.
