Did you know it is good for the soul to walk along a sandy shore and maybe play a little, dig a hole or draw letters in the sand? If you visit Iceland you will quickly discover the abundance of sandy coves along the shore. There is plenty of room to play.
The Shell Cove is a tiny cove near Hnifsdalur in the Westfjords of Iceland. It looks innocent, but when fierce storms come from the north-east things get interesting to say the least.
The view from the Shell Cove is magnificent. You see the entire Snowy Mountains in the east and into the Glacier Fjords in the north. On a bright spring afternoon everything becomes crystal clear. Summer is coming.
