Each year a Christmas tree is set up at Silver Square in the heart of Isafjordur Town. Usually the lights are turned on with with music, Santa and people gathering. But not this year.
The lights in the Old Bakery (Gamla bakaríið on the photo) were recently turned off and the bakery closed after being run for a century by the same family.
Times are certainly changing in Isafjordur Town and the townscape is evolving in step with the times.
The town is working on on a new master plan for moving forward. Exciting times are ahead in Isafjordur Town.
