We adore Westfjords and one of the reasons is the variety in weather, landscape, nature and the ever changing colors all year round.
We spent yesterday driving in the northern part of the Westfjords and stopped at viewpoints we have stopped many times before. These are the same unchanged places like before, but yesterday they were different.
The theme of the day was the color of blue and cloud variations. The green color of summer is starting to show. There is still plenty of snow in the mountains, but it is diminishing. Harsh winter is behind us and ahead of us is the Icelandic summer with all its glory.
