It is always special when the sun begins to peek over the mountains in the Westfjords. It has an alternative meaning; the darkest days are behind us and the spring is just around the corner.
The past week was windy and wet with glassy dangerous streets. The snow in the mountains melted faster than usual because of high temperature associated with strong winds.
The snow piles on the streets of Ísafjörður Town melt as well revealing yesterday’s dirt from the streets. The piles were much larger a couple of days ago.
When you stop for a while and take a minute just to watch all the nature’s and man made elements mixing together to present a sight that is magnificent your day will become perfect. Just try it.
