Icelanders are a great history nation. Every year, many books are published in the months before Christmas. Icelanders love to tell stories and they love to give books as Christmas presents.
This bench has the mark of the donor. Probably the bench was given in memory of someone who lived here and loved the place or the town. Maybe there is a love story or a tragedy behind the gesture that would be good stuff in a book.
Then there are the untold stories and I bet the ravens could tell us many stories if they could speak.
