When the country is an island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean it is necessary to place lighthouses along its shore to guide ships from stranding.
The lighthouses around Iceland are very different from one another and some are more than one hundred years old like this old lighthouse. Some are simple buildings while others are architectural masterpieces. Some are even built on locations that are almost impossible.
