About 15 years ago you had to cross a boring road over heath on the road to Isafjordur Town in the Westfjords. It was usually possible to get there in the summer and winter, but it was very boring to drive this road. The view, however, was absolutely great.
This road runs from the fjord Ísafjörður to another fjord called Mjóifjörður. Some time ago, a bridge was built over Mjóifjörður and it crosses the islets in the middle of the picture.
I am glad I stopped once on the boring road and took some pictures even though the sun was not shining. The view lives longer in memory than the boring road.
