Thick newly fallen snow is incredibly clean and beautiful. Sometimes it is so thick that it changes the landscape.
This snow fell one winter in Hnífsdalur in the Westfjords. This is usually a snowy area so it is not newsworthy per se.
What is interesting is that the puddle seen in the picture is the only visible part of the river that runs along the length of the valley.
